Chi Kyu (pronounced chee-q—rhymes with the GQ magazine) is an incoming student at Teachers College, Columbia University, where he will study psychology beginning in the fall of 2024.

He recently graduated from the MFA program in Creative Writing at the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities, where he studied poetry.

He was born and raised in Seoul but came to the States for his middle and high school years to scratch an educational itch.

In 2020, he graduated from Cornell University, where he studied English literature with a focus on creative writing. In addition to minoring in Arabic, he studied abroad in Jordan to attempt at improving his Arabic and wants to return to Amman someday.

He lives in Minneapolis with his canine companion, Ato.
